Review - The Little Big eBook on Social Media Audiences: Build Yours, Keep It, and Win : My Verdict - Highly Recommended!

Social Media is no rocket science. With proper investment of time, effort and a little money anyone can be successful, build a community of loyal followers, retain them and win big.  This is exactly what Author Cendrine Marrouat’s Ebook The Little eBook On Social Media Audiences: Build Yours, Keep It, and Win strives to help people achieve.

Thanks to my professional association with Author Cendrine Marrouat, I have been extremely fortunate to receive a copy of this amazing eBook weeks earlier. I admit it is one of the most brilliant eBooks on social media audiences that I have read in a long time.

I have seen how Authors and Self Proclaimed social media specialists out there try to present Social Media as a complex field where to be successfully one needs to invest a lot of money. Cendrine through her latest Ebook beautifully illustrates that Social Media is not that complex after all and Small and Medium business enterprises or individuals could become highly successful with minimum investment/budget, if they followed a few important principles that she explains in the book.

Everyone talks about ROI all the time that the word has gotten clich├ęd and perhaps may have lost its meaning. Only very few talk about the quintessential part of the mix – The People. For without people there can be no business. The Little Big eBook on Social Media Audience: Build Yours, Keep It, and Win revolves around this important aspect of Social Media.

Instead of making it as boring as an eBook, Cendrine has made it as interesting and conversational as a novel. The book is so lively and personal and she has managed to keep it that way from page one through to the last page. Cendrine - like a Narrator takes you on an interesting journey filled with rich examples, case studies, snippets from her own life, lessons she learnt as a Social Media Author and Coach etc.  The best part is that she included live links to all case studies mentioned in her eBook for further detailed reference. Besides, she has also included links to some really awesome free tools to manage social media effectively. This Ebook is a treasure trove of information and filled with practical, effective advice that everyone must know and follow.

After reading this eBook you will
  • ·         Be able to understand importance of Social Media Audiences and how to reach               them effectively
  • ·         Have a knowhow of the most effective methods to build and grow a community
  • ·         Know how to build valuable content for social media audiences
  • ·         Have a good understanding of the most indispensible tools to manage and be                 awesome on Social Media
  • ·         Understand how to handle Crisis

The Little Big eBook on Social Media Audience: Build Yours, Keep It, and Win will be released on May 15, 2014.

My Verdict : Highly Recommended

Beyond : Memories in a Timelapse - The most beautiful time-lapse of UAE ever made!

BEYOND - Memoirs In A Time Lapse from Beno Saradzic on Vimeo.

Beno Saradzic, Abu Dhabi based filmmaker and chief imagineer of Timesand UAE is back again with 'Beyond:memories in a timelapse' I have been one of the privileged few to watch the film even before it was officially released, thanks to the very close relationship I share with the fimmaker.

Since the huge success of Abu Dhabi 2011, Beno always hinted that something bigger was coming. I saw it all coming in place as I watched BEYOND - the 7 minutes of sheer magic. Beno has once again pushed the limits of filmmaking and brought out something, that is truly remarkable and fascinating. I must admit I gave a standing ovation to this filmmaker extraordinaire.

Weaved out of the best of 225,000 still
frames taken over a period of two years Beyond is a poetic journey of colourful motion and music that relates the seemingly limitless power of human imagination - to create and transform on a scale far beyond our own. It is a tall tale of inspiration, courage, determination, tenacity and perseverance through adversity. Shot at locations throughout Abu Dhabi and Dubai, ‘Beyond’s implicit story is about much more than the success of the UAE. What is unfolding in the UAE is a shining, symbolic example of the towering achievements of mankind as a whole.

The music was exclusively crafted by none other than the award winning musician Vladimir Persan, who is a powerhouse of talent. Vlad as he is affectionately called by his friends is one of the regions most popular and respected musician and composers. He has written and produced  TVC sound tracks for some of the world's most prestigious brands. He is also the one who composed the background score for Beno Saradzic's first timelapse film -Abu Dhabi 2011 - which became such a huge viral hit worldwide. His work has earned him several acclaims and honors including the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award.  I was extremely delighted to get acquainted to him through Beno and he is equally down to earth and humble. The Beno-Vlad duo are an amazing combination and are surely going places.

Abu Dhabi 2011 and My association with the incredibly talented Beno Saradzic

When I first watched Abu Dhabi 2011 I fell totally in love with this filmmaking technique called timelapsing. As a student of Visual Communications, I have always been fascinated by Filmmaking and have worked for a couple of production houses too, including the renowned CMN Productions based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

I had watched several timelapse films before but nothing quite appealed to me or captured my attention, the way this film did. Abu Dhabi 2011 opened me up to a whole new level of Digital filmmaking.  I started gaining keen interest in this art of weaving still frames into a poetic video of beautiful motion, sound and effect. I wasted no time in making acquaintance with the awesome Beno Saradzic of Timesand Films..  I offered to help him build a Facebook page to reach a wider section of people who enjoyed photography, timelapse and digital filmmaking.

We both kicked off with the social media project in 2011 only a few days after the release of Abu Dhabi 2011. I watched as the page grew in thousands within a matter of only a few weeks.  Despite his really busy schedule, Beno took time to personally reply to each and every single fan comment on his page. Beno would sometimes spend hours just to make sure every single question raised by his fans are answered - a very rare and remarkable trait.
As a social media community manager, that was a very important lesson learnt for me. Beno not only taught me how to look at life from a more beautiful perspective and turn the mundane into extra ordinary, he also taught me how to grow and build a community of loyal fans and followers. I salute this great man and wish that he attains greater success, glory and achievement in the days to come.

A BASE jump from the World's Highest Building - Burj Khalifa Sets World Record

Two French skydivers jumped off the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet set a new Guinness World Record for tallest BASE jump from a building, with their leap this week. The Burj Khalifa is 2,700 feet tall, standing more more than half a mile tall.

BASE jumping refers to jumping off stationary objects and is an acronym for these objects: building, antenna, span and Earth (such as a cliff). Before the jump Monday, the duo practiced for a week jumping off a mountain near Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, which is almost the same height as the Burj Khalifa, according to the Guinness World Record website.

How the Saudi drifter manages to keep his 4x4 on two wheels with five people on the top-side, removing the tyres and putting them back, is something that seems death-defying.

Senator Nearly Hit by Train During a Train Safety Event

United States Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) was nearly struck by a speeding train during a press conference on Friday — at a conference about commuter safety, no less.

The conference, which was held on a Metro-North train platform in Milford, Conn., was meant to draw attention to an overhaul in Metro-North safety. But it ended up being a dangerous situation itself.  With his back to the tracks, Blumenthal said, "Safety, as you know, is paramount..." just as an Amtrak train sped through the station.

The Most Honest (Satirical) Corporate Ad You Will Ever See. Just Brilliant! (NSFW Warning)

In this hilarious satirical look at a corporate PSA, some energy executives tell us what they are REALLY thinking.  Just FYI, this uses language that is not safe for work.
Major international corporations have been operating on this premise for decades yet, for obvious reasons, will never have the courage to just say it like it is. This video does it for them!

Living Beyond Limits: Amy Purdy Who Lost Both Her Legs At 19 Now Stands Up On Her Feet To Inspire Millions To Not Give Up On Their Dreams

Amy Purdy talks about the power of imagination. She explains how our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by the choices we make. Imagination allows us to break down borders, to move beyond our circumstances, to create and constantly progress.

Amy Purdy has been through hardships that most of us will never face -- or can even fathom. But what makes her story so incredible is not that fact that she lived a "normal" childhood and spent her high school years as a passionate artist and snowboarder, then traumatically lost both her legs at age 19, but how she has persevered, taking implausible challenges and rising above them.

Today, Amy is an athlete; currently the top ranked adaptive female snowboarder in the world. Amy also spends a good amount of time helping others; specifically those with physical challenges get involved with snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding and other action sports through the organization she co-founded Adaptive Action Sports. Challenging herself while making a positive impact on the world is a true testament to Amy's spirit.

Rufous hummingbird Joins The Rest Of The Species In Wishing You A Happy Earth Day

Today April 22, 2014 Google has come up with a very colourful and animated Doodle to mark the World Earth Day. The doodle begins with an animation of a rufous hummingbird hovering over flowers with mouseover text "The Rufous Hummingbird wishes you a happy Earth Day 2014!"

Six different animated doodles depicting different species – Rufous humming bird, Japanese Macaque, Veiled chameleon, Moon jellyfish, Puffer fish and Dung beetle can be found on the google home page. Each doodle shows one animal species and the environment they live, probably suggesting that we need to maintain the environment for the species to exist.

The first ever Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970. The idea was the brainchild Gaylord Nelson, then a US Senator from Wisconsin. Nelson conceived the idea after witnessing the 1969 massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, California. Inspired by the student movement that was going on at the time against the Vietnam war, Nelson dreamt of movement that would make people think about air and water pollution and force environmental protection onto the national political agenda.

Earth Day is now observed in around 192 countries, with activities being coordinated by the nonprofit Earth Day Network, chaired by the first Earth Day coordinator Denis Hayes.

30 Mind Blowing Posters Against Travel Restrictions For HIV Affected People

Since the beginning of the HIV epidemic, governments and the private sector have implemented travel restrictions with regard to HIV positive people wishing to enter or remain in a country for a short stay (e.g. business, personal visits, tourism) or for longer periods (e.g. asylum, employment, immigration, refugee resettlement, or study). According to data collected by the European AIDS Treatment Group, a total of 74 countries have some form of HIV-specific travel restrictions, 12 of which ban HIV positive people from entering for any reason or length of time. The most common reasons used are to protect public health and to avoid possible costs associated with care, support and treatment of people living with HIV.

Whatever the reason, HIV-related travel restrictions raise fundamental issues regarding the human rights of non-discrimination and freedom of movement of people living with HIV in today’s highly mobile world.

Here are some Mind Blowing posters supporting the cause of Travel freedom for HIV affected people.
